Angelica Gerosa
Projects
Meme Gallery showcased the “collages of ceramics ” and the collages of paper which are studies for the realization of various products: carpets, vases and blankets.
“If you think that illustration is a two-dimensional thing, you have to take a look at the works made by Angelica Gerosa, a contemporary designer, whose work is made of paper-cut outs, constructions, sculptures, paper, cardboard, glue
and recycled materials. She too sometimes goes from three to two dimensions, making watercolours and tempera with grace, patience and almost Zen like precision. Be careful not to joke about the harmonies of colors, however, Angelica does not
compromise on that one! She also tries her hand at ceramics creating sculptures to hang on the walls, which we have ironically baptized: “Collages di Ceramica ”. Angelica Gerosa is therefore an illustrator and paper designer, born in Florence, who now lives and works in Milan and who works mainly with real paper, cardboard, glue and scissors using collages with particular attention to composition, shapes and colour contrasts. She also dedicates herself to volume projects, creating constructions with different materials, especially recycled ones and, just recently, ” ceramic sculptures.
