Meme Gallery is not just a small and accurate showroom in Brera, but a cultural project born in October 2019, by the project manager and design insider Maria Angela Di Pierro, former director of AIAP, the Italian Association of Design of Visual Communication, and founder of the Mostro festival, Graphic Design Camp.
In Meme Gallery each project is the result of research and collaboration with the hosted designers: on the one hand, the space is a place that hosts works and limited collections of design, graphics, illustration, art and craft and photography; on the other hand, the gallery owner actively participates in the creative process, commissioning an exclusive self-production for the gallery, or welcoming new layout formats.
The space also wants to be a workshop for young designers, 'an opportunity for their expression' in one of the most important design districts of the city on themes chosen by the gallery owner and of strong social interest.
