Meme Gallery is a small and accurate Design gallery in Milan, in the Brera district that caters to a young target by offering a slow buying experience, aimed at training the new generation of collectors. Food, roots, South and mental health are the four themes that the gallery deals with: values very dear to the founder Maria Angela Di Pierro and to young people.
Meme Gallery, ex-convent cell, first Cistercian then Benedictine, became during the 60s a concierge of a building of the late 1800s. The space is located inside a courtyard a few steps from the Feltrinelli Foundation, the Anteo Cinema, and Piazza Gae Aulenti, developing on three floors it becomes a bright silo, a white box, with a height of 7.50m, one of a kind.
To celebrate the third birthday Meme Gallery invites the Apulian master ceramist, Giorgio di
Palma with his installation "Festa di compleanno", created with the collective Pigmet of Bari.
The exhibition, set up first at the Pino Pascali Museum in Polignano, then at the Gigi
Museum Guadangnucci of Massa Carrara, arrives for the first time in Milan in a private
space.
